Hurtigruten’s Chief Aurora Chaser, Tom Kerss, shared the incredible rare footage of a pulsating aurora that he took aboard the MS Trollfjord in northern Norway. What makes this footage so rare is that these sort of displays usually only last 10–20 minutes, but this one went on for almost three hours. Tom rediscovered the footage in early April and said it was “one of the most profound sightings” of his 18 years chasing the Northern Lights. #aurora #northernlights #science
